Meet: Cody Pannell
Founder/Owner/Operator
I've been in the 3D scanning world for over 10 years as a manufacturing/mechanical engineer, and have loved every second of it. I know how much better and faster an accurate model of an off-the-shelf part can make your designs, which is why I started this company. 3D scanning has so many uses in today's world, and I hope to bring this technology into the hands of more people across the globe.
How We Got Here
Rewind engineering came about due to a direct need for a 3D part model. Having been through countless assembly and equipment designs, I grew tired of using a tape measure and calipers to reverse engineer my parts in 3D CAD. I figured if I needed a local 3D scanning service, others would as well. So, I decided to buy my own scanner and combine that with my 10+ years of experience, and thus Rewind Engineering was born!

That’s easy… We have a genuine passion for 3D scanning and reverse engineering technologies! We still get giddy when we see physical parts becoming digital right in front of our eyes. We love using CAD and 3D scanners, both at work and at home for personal projects.
We’ve been in the 3D CAD world since 2009 and in the scanning world since 2013. With experience across multiple industries, including automotive, construction, and robotics/automation, we’ve developed tricks and tools to get the job done fast and accurately.
